I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
